Senior Finance Business Partner

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong commercial awareness and business partnering experience to take on a senior role within a forward-thinking organisation, providing high-quality financial insight and supporting senior leaders with key strategic and operational decisions.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work closely with senior management and business leaders across the organisation, helping to shape financial objectives, improve performance and ensure that decision-making is supported by accurate, meaningful financial information.

The Role

As Senior Finance Business Partner, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing a proactive and commercially focused finance business partnering service to senior leaders and managers across the organisation.


• Working closely with budget holders to establish realistic financial targets, priorities and performance measures.


• Providing insight and analysis to identify opportunities for growth, improved performance and cost optimisation.


• Coordinating and monitoring the work of Finance Business Partners, ensuring a consistent, high-quality and customer-focused finance service.


• Preparing accurate and timely budget monitoring reports and quarterly management accounts.


• Supporting the preparation of statutory annual financial statements for the organisation's subsidiaries.


• Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.


• Providing financial advice, guidance and training to colleagues across the organisation.


• Supporting managers in understanding financial information and using it effectively to inform business decisions.


• Ensuring financial activity is delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, policies and best practice.

About You

We are keen to speak with experienced finance professionals who are looking for a role where they can combine technical accounting expertise with commercial business partnering.

You will ideally be:

• A qualified accountant with at least three years' relevant post-qualification experience.


• Experienced in a finance business partnering, management accounting or similar senior finance role.


• Experienced in providing financial advice and insight to senior stakeholders and budget holders.


• Experienced in line management and supporting the development of finance team members.


• Commercially aware, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Confident interpreting financial data and translating it into clear, practical recommendations.


• A strong communicator who can build effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.


• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.


• Knowledgeable in areas including financial regulations, financial reporting requirements, VAT and data protection.


• Someone who can demonstrate sound judgement and provide clear, practical financial guidance.
