- Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced Paraplanner, due to expansion, to aid their financial advisers. They are a well established firm of financial planners who offer a whole of market financial planning service to their clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified Paraplanner to become actively involved in a successful business whilst continuing to develop their career.
Role overview and purpose
Working as part of a lively and friendly client support team, you will be responsible for providing full paraplanning services to our Financial Planners.
Researching product options- Using company in-house and external software to research the market for the most appropriate product for the client and saving all research to the ‘Volume’ filing system
- Discussing research with Financial Planners and Compliance
Creating client suitability reports- Using company templates to create suitability reports and updating of templates as necessary
- Presenting suitability reports to Financial Planners
- Ensuring suitability reports are compliant
Analysing clients’ existing products- Entering details on to ‘Financial Express’ and company analysis software and saving all analysis to the ‘Volume’ filing system
- Providing a summary of analysis to Financial Planners and Compliance
Creating new business paperwork- Uploading details on to platform provider accounts, printing out applications and literature
- Completing money laundering checks
- Ensuring company compliance document is correct and complete
- Submitting cases to compliance (post client signature)
Producing ‘Voyant’ reports- Inputting data into ‘Voyant’,
- Updating ‘Voyant’ post meetings
- Producing ‘Voyant’ reports
Required qualifications and skills- CII Diploma level qualified essential
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, ‘1st ’ software and fully IT literate
- High level of technical knowledge
- Attention to detail, thoroughness and accuracy
- Ability to plan workloads and manage conflicting demands and deadlines, with a keen and flexible attitude and the ability to work well under pressure
- Initiative to develop own ideas and projects to assist in the ongoing development of our client proposition
- Great communication skills, highly motivated with the will to thrive in a challenging and fast paced environment and a strong team player
Desired qualifications and skills- Knowledge of ‘Voyant’ financial planning software
- Knowledge of ‘Fastrak’
- Knowledge of ‘Selecta pension’ analysis system
