Jenson Fisher are delighted to be supporting our long standing client based in Glasgow to recruit a Bookkeeper on a permanent, full time basis. Our client are a successful firm of Chartered Accountants who possess a loyal and growing client base, delivering services including accounts production, tax returns and payroll services with a firm focus on maintaining quality whilst maximising client satisfaction.
Working as part of an established and friendly bookkeeping department, as the Bookkeeper your responsibilities will include:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as Sage and Xero.
- Prepare and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with company policies.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Provide add-hoc payroll cover, experience not required.
- Assist with quarterly VAT reviews and submissions for a range of different clients.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
The successful candidate must have sufficient bookkeeping experience to manage your own workload in a professional and efficient manner. Personally, you will possess strong communication skills alongside the ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders as required. You will be ideally looking to secure a role where you can put your bookkeeping experience to good use in a fast paced working environment and whilst experience working for a firm of accountants would be preferred, this is not essential.
