Jenson Fisher are working in partnership with a leading firm of Chartered Accountants based in Glasgow to recruit a Qualified Accountant on a permanent, full time basis. Reporting into the Senior Management team with a pathway and progression into same, the role of Qualified Accountant is to ensure that a high quality of services are continuously delivered to clients across a broad, growing customer base. The successful candidate will be in possession of their full accounting qualification, CA/ACCA or equivalent, and will be looking to secure an opportunity to both utilise and develop their existing skills base whilst also contributing to the future success and development of the firm. Additionally, you will be tasked with management and statutory reporting for clients alongside providing ongoing business advice. In addition, you will be tasked with supporting those at the earlier stages of their career through mentoring and leadership whilst also reviewing work as required.

Within this role, your responsibilities will include:


  • Manage your own portfolio of clients providing statutory accounts production alongside the preparation of management accounts.

  • Provide Advisory services within your client portfolio as required alongside working with your clients on their forecasts and business planning.

  • Delegate and review work issued to junior members of the team.

  • Maintaining lasting relationships with your client base, always representing the firm in the most professional manner.

  • Provide support to the accounts and bookkeeping departments as required.

  • Liaising with external bodies, including HMRC, pension providers etc on behalf of your clients.

  • Produce fee reports on a monthly basis for partner review.

  • Constantly working to improve business services, enhancing processes and procedures at all times.

  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of accounting processes and procedures alongside ensuring that your own CPD is up to date.
