- Jenson Fisher have been engaged by a highly reputable organisation based in Paisley who are looking to recruit a Project Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be required to monitor and report on the company’s financial condition. Strong emphasis on commercial and operational activities and KPIs within the business to improve processes, profitability and areas of risk so adding value.
The main duties:- Assist in the monthly accounting close ensuring timeliness, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with corporate policy
- Develop systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company's finances
- Evolution of new KPIs and actions to address financial under performance across countries and business units
- Providing reports, meaningful actions, challenge and follow up of accountable actions
- Establish key data requirements (particularly on inventory)
- Detailed inventory analysis on a periodic basis to understand inventory provision requirements and excess stock
- Review of inventory requirements to support key business opportunities and review of purchase order requirements in a balanced data driven manner
- Global oversight of inventory cycle counting process; work with the teams to ensure targets are met
- Take ownership for customer inventory forecasts and visiting and working with key suppliers on scheduling
- ACCA/CIMA Qualified/Part Qualified or Qualified by experience
- Strong Accountancy background/distribution planning will be desirable
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in working with MRP / DRP / forecasting systems
- Ability to work under pressure during busy periods
- Be able to multi-task and manage numerous activities at any one time whilst maintaining the quality of work and attention to detail
- Excellent MS Excel skills essential
