Description

Jenson Fisher are delighted to be recruiting a permanent Accounts & Payroll Assistant for an expanding organisation based in Glasgow City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and hard working Accounts Assistant to join a small friendly team and progress their career. This post is based in stunning offices in the centre of Glasgow. The hours offered, can be 8am to 4pm, 8.30am-4.30pm or 9am-5pm. This role would suit a candidate who wants to grow with the company and learn all accounts skills.

The main duties:

Prepare and process a fortnightly payroll
Process new starters and leavers
Deal with payroll queries
Process invoices per department on to sage
Reconcile supplier statements
Process daily sales onto daily excel spreadsheet, which is then posted to sage
Reconcile all credit card to bank statement daily
Process business credit card expenditure
Process weekly mileage payments on bank portal
Generate quarterly rent invoices for commercial properties
Assist with quarterly VAT returns

Qualifications & experience:

Previous accounts and payroll experience
Sage experience is essential
Highly proficient Excel skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong team player
