- Jenson Fisher have been engaged by a leading firm of Chartered Accountants with an office servicing Dundee clients to recruit an Audit Senior on a permanent, full time basis. Working as a key member of the audit team, the Audit Senior is largely responsible for fulfilling the lead role on Audits whilst co-ordinating and supporting the work of, and developing Audit Juniors. This is a highly visible role within the firm where you will not only be provided with the platform to showcase your audit skills but also share involvement in accounts production and corporation tax. You will be in position of your full CA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent) or be close to finalising.
On a day-to-day basis your responsibilities will include:- Responsible for a team of juniors on audit, ranging from 3 to 4 depending on the size and scale of the audit itself.
- Work directly with the Manager and Partner on audits, including audit planning through to completion.
- Performing audits on clients with a turnover of up to £60m per annum across multiple sectors including retail, pharma, automotive and charitable.
- Non audit work including accounts, tax and client assurance work.
- Ongoing assessment of clients existing systems, processes and procedures and highlighting improvements where possible.
- Production of statutory accounts for small, medium and Group clients.
- Preparation of corporation tax, including capital allowances, for Partner review.
- Main point of contact for clients during field work, managing their expectations throughout the process.
