- Jenson Fisher have been engaged on an exclusive, retained basis by our long established, global client with a sizable presence in Dundee to recruit a Credit Controller on a permanent, full time basis. Working as a key member of the finance department, the Credit Controller will work closely with multiple areas of the business to manage incoming revenue and support continued growth.
You will have previous experience working in a similar role and will understand where Credit Control fits within a successful finance team. Additionally, you will have strong interpersonal skills alongside the ability to work using your own initiative or as part of a team.
On a day to day basis your responsibilities will include:- Effective collection of all debts and payments in line with company payment terms.
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Identifying problematic accounts and invoice disputes at the earliest opportunity and resolving in an efficient and pragmatic manner.
- Escalating and reporting on all high risk accounts.
- Reducing late payments and bad debts and continuously reducing debtor days.
- Processing customer payments as required.
- Creating new customer accounts, running credit checks and setting credit limits.
- Negotiating payment plans with overdue accounts.
- Producing aged debt reports.
- Sales ledger management.
- Use of SAP and Microsoft Excel.
- Liaise with the wider finance team on all matters which influence the credit control function.
