Project Accountant

Jenson Fisher have been instructed by our client, a fast paced and commercial business with firm roots in Scottish business, to recruit a Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) to fulfil the post of Finance Business Partner in a key, permanent, full-time role. In this newly created opportunity as a result of business growth, the Finance Business Partner will work as part of a medium-sized finance team providing an excellent support and resource to the wider business. With a naturally analytical approach, the Finance Business Partner will possess excellent relationship skills alongside the ability to influence positively and challenge where required.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Conducting variance analysis and reporting on same.
• Statutory reporting and presenting findings to senior management.
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts and working with key stakeholders to ensure awareness and compliance.
• Performing financial analysis of projects.
• Providing a "Business Partner" resource to various contacts within the business ensuring that finance is considered at the core of all decision making.
• Displaying excellent problem solving skills alongside the ability to shoulder responsibility when decision making.

To be considered for this role you must be:

• In possession of your full accounting qualification - ACCA, CA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong systems skills and prior exposure to Advanced Excel.
• Commercial in your approach with a natural head for business.
