Jenson Fisher are delighted to be working with a national business based in the Inverclyde region to recruit an Interim Assistant Accountant to cover an initial 6 month contract. Reporting into the Financial Controller this role has been created due to a unique project that the business are currently undertaking and will provide cover for an existing staff member who has been seconded into a new position. You will have previous experience working as an Assistant Accountant and will consider yourself a strong user of financial software and Microsoft Excel.
On a daily basis your responsibilities will include:- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Ensure that accounts payable and accounts receivable deadlines are achieved.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Resolving invoice queries and resolving any escalated supplier issues.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Assisting with the cashflow forecasting process.
- General support to the Financial Controller.
