Jenson Fisher, have been engaged by an established organisation based in the West end of Glasgow to recruit an enthusiastic Payroll Assistant on a temporary basis for 1 year to cover a maternity contract.
The main responsibilities of the selected candidate will be:
Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data for 3 companies
Making payments on time
Processing auto enrolment
Dealing with SMP, SSP, NIC and PAYE calculations
Dealing with payroll queries
Continually improving processes and services
Ensuring that knowledge of payroll legislation and requirements is maintained.
Setting up new members of staff
Issuing tax forms (P45s, P60s for example)
Managing maternity, paternity, adoption leave
Administering cycle to work scheme
Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
Maintain employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Tax Year End procedures
Knowledge of pension legislation and pension scheme regulation
Detailed knowledge of payroll systems
