Corbenic is a Camphill community, in which individuals with a variety of social, emotional, intellectual and learning disabilities (residents) live and work with others in healthy social relationships, based on mutual care and respect. Founded in 1978 and situated near Dunkeld, Corbenic is currently home to 43 residents and 15 day placements that are supported by 30 international volunteers and 50 employed staff.

Jenson Fisher Consulting is delighted to be retained by Corbenic to recruit a number of key individuals across the Senior Management Team, including a Fundraising Programme Manager on a 2-year fixed term basis as a result of significant growth plans across the organisation. In short, Corbenic are undertaking a major capital project; the Community Centre is being designed with construction planned to commence in the summer of 2020. This major task, together with growth in other activities, significantly increases the workload and, as a result, this post has been created to support the implementation of these developments. By its nature, the role is developmental and much of its focus will be placed on helping to ensure that the organisation raise the necessary funds for this exciting project. Establishing relationships with supporters is an essential part of this role and vital to ensure that Corbenic are able to communicate the exceptional work that they do in their community.

Corbenic has an effective and systematic approach for making applications to grant-making Trusts and Foundations and will be used to develop requests for support from Corporate Social Responsibility budgets – however there may also be opportunity to apply for statutory funds. As the Fundraising Programme Manager your responsibilities will include;

  • Prepare applications and reports for signature once received from external fundraiser.
  • Assist appropriately with enquiries that arise as a result of funding applications.
  • Maintain records in conjunction with the fundraiser.
  • Ensure correspondence is prepared for signature, checking with collagues to include the addition of personalised comment where appropriate.
  • Assist with system development.
  • Assist with research on request.
  • Arrange meetings on request.
  • Maintain all records relating to donations from individuals and corporate, including those linked with gift aid.
  • Participate and take an active role in the planning and delivery of events and other activities designed to build relationships with potential donors.
  • Play a key role in the development of corporate fundraising.

The Fundraising Programme Manager will have the skills both to support the existing team and also to play a key role in establishing an excellent, stable fundraising core during a period of significant developments for Corbenic.
