Our client is a prestigious management consultancy seeking an Associate DC Consultant within Corporate DC Pensions Solutions team.


  • Responsibility for management of a portfolio of existing DC pension
  • Support Consultants and Senior Consultants on larger
  • Support Consultants and Senior Consultants in preparing reports and providing regulated advice to individual
  • Provide guidance/advice on all aspects of DC pensions including scheme design, investment options and ongoing
  • Provide an annuity placement
  • Provide consultancy and project management for delivery of automatic enrolment
  • Liaise with providers – for example to conduct market reviews, to ensure effective administration and to resolve
  • Implementation of governance
  • Arrange and attend regular governance and operational meetings – produce minutes and manage action
  • Produce reports, documents and other communications for
  • Respond to client
  • Produce drafts of explanatory literature i.e. announcements and
  • Attend presentations and meetings with employees to promote pension schemes.
  • Maintain appropriate technical
  • Provide guidance on actual or anticipated changes in law, or employee benefit
  • Completion of proposals for new business
  • Build effective relationships with other internal staff / teams that work with the client – provide support where
  • Negotiate and agree provision of services and fee
  • Bill client for fees and disbursements at regular

  • Graduate
  • Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (QCF Level 4) – or progressing towards this qualification.
  • Experience in dealing with contract-based DC pension schemes in a similar role.
  • Experience in delivering automatic enrolment

Communication – Ability to write clear and concise reports. Presentation of verbal and written reports, analyses, appraisals, recommendations and comments relative to activities and data reviewed.

Interpersonal – Persuasive yet diplomatic manner when dealing with all levels of staff and management in writing and in personal contact internally and with clients externally. Flexible yet consistent in approach to duties. Inspire confidence and respect in the function / company.

Information Technology – Computer literate in the use of Office Systems, e.g. Microsoft Office for word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentations. Time recording and charging to clients. Advanced Excel skills an advantage but not essential.

Professional / General Management – Understand the need for various codes of professional ethics and standards. Good time management. Capable of prioritising work at short notice with little or no additional support.

General – Provide accurate and appropriate management information to Senior Management. Comply with all Corporate Policies & Procedures (CPPs).

Financial – Manage any delegated budget in a manner that will best serve the company’s interests and provide regular tracking and projection information to the Finance Department. Commercially minded.

Compliance – Be aware of current regulatory and legal obligations of the function. Report any suspected breaches to the Compliance Department immediately on discovery.

Risk Management – Document, monitor and report business risks and internal controls of the managed function. Alert Senior Management immediately of any significant changes.

Business Continuity – Maintain and test a current and effective disaster recovery / business continuity plan that will ensure an appropriate response to any disruption to systems, information services, communications and office facilities. (In association with Compliance Department).
