Description

Corbenic is a Camphill community, in which individuals with a variety of social, emotional, intellectual and learning disabilities (residents) live and work with others in healthy social relationships, based on mutual care and respect. Founded in 1978 and situated near Dunkeld, Corbenic is currently home to 43 residents and 15 day placements that are supported by 30 international volunteers and 50 employed staff.

Jenson Fisher Consulting is delighted to be retained by Corbenic to recruit a number of key individuals across the Senior Management Team, including a Finance Manager, as a result of an exciting period of growth across the organisation. With immediate plans to enhance the Perthshire facility, there will also be a major capital development project in excess of £2.7m.

The role of the Finance Manager will work alongside the Financial Administrator and augment their work in the finance office. The aim for this newly created role is to ensure that Corbenic stays ahead of the curve, and the successful incumbent will work closely with budget holders and team managers to develop the flow of knowledge and communication. As the Finance Manager you will ultimately be tasked with managing all day to day financial operations and ensure effective practices and procedures are in place.

  • Statutory financial reporting for audit.
  • Prepare the audit file and year end reports for the Board.
  • Prepare draft year end management accounts.
  • Prepare the annual core and project budgets.
  • Produce quarterly management accounts, cash flow statements and balance sheet including appropriate postings for accruals, depreciations etc.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Preparing project reports as required.
  • Effectively run and manage the company payroll.
  • Oversee transactional finance and the work undertaken by the Finance Administrator.
  • Maximise the use of the existing financial system, QuickBooks.
  • Attend regular meetings with the General Manager, Team Managers and the Board of Trustees.
  • Represent the organisation when in dialogue with external partners including banks, accountants, auditors etc.
