Our client is a rapidly expanding and successful motor dealership group, operating across London and the Home Counties with 58 showrooms, across 12 brands, having a turnover in excess of £500M and over 750 staff, they now seek an Group Marketing Manager, to work in their Head Office.
The Group Marketing department for has evolved greatly in the last year and as role of the Marketing department continues to grow, it is important that it is able to continue to contribute to the whole business and underpin the vision and strategy needed to expand this team further and realign other roles and responsibilities. As part of this restructuring exercise we have to redefine the Marketing Managers role to take on a broader Marketing remit and to provide support to additional areas of the business such as Aftersales and Parts.
- Have strategic oversight, manage, grow and develop the Marketing Division
- Evolve the Customer Experience/ Company Brand to increase engagement, conversion and lifetime customer value.
- Provide strategic planning and execution of go-to-market plans; supporting customer acquisition and retention goals.
- Work with digital agency on core online customer acquisition tactics, such as: paid search (PPC), organic search (SEO), liaising with Brand Directors on focus models for each month, assigning budget to each brand/campaign, ensuring all URLs are correctly implemented and scheduled with our agency correctly. Review reports from previous month to monitor success, establish areas that require improvement and make necessary adjustments where possible.
- Maximize performance & ROI of the company's website as a core acquisition & customer channel across UK Motor Industry by delivering against conversion KPl's (registrations, site visitors, enquiries, active customers, activation & adoption rates of ecommerce platform etc.)
- Optimise the company website through a deep understanding of tools, metrics, trends & issues by identifying opportunities both strategically & tactically, to improve conversion rates and to remove customer friction points.
- Work with our Marketing agency to improve the look and feel of our website, constantly review user experience and how the website is navigated.
- Work with communications manager to extract customer data, liaise with digital agency to produce & design email templates for EDM & SMS campaigns, covering Sales, Aftersales and Parts departments.
- Ensure the regular communication of digital marketing and communications initiatives and results to internal Directors and occasionally Brand/Manufacturers, producing reports to reflect engagement/success where required.
- Work alongside Marketing agency to schedule social media content, assess model/brand awareness and assign paid budget monthly for sponsored ad’s / carousels and video content.
- Help build overall company reputation online and offline by working closely with CQM’s, Brand Directors, Aftersales Managers and Customer Care teams to ensure all reviews on Autotrader, Google, Facebook etc are responded to and continuous processes are implemented to improve overall customer satisfaction. Use of Reputation.com will be a huge benefit.
- Work with a third-party event companies to establish key opportunities for sales events, new model launches and unique brand events throughout the calendar year for all brands, all locations. From extracting data, ensuring artwork/creative is correct and within brand guidelines per brand, establishing team ROTA’s, through to tracking and reporting on total sales and overall success of campaign.
- Manage marketing campaign budgets and schedules ensuring that all marketing activity is delivered within budget and on-time. Collect invoices for all suppliers with breakdowns of cost to report monthly/quarterly/yearly on total spend.
- Work alongside 3rd party companies such as Autotrader, Motors (ebay motors) and AA to monitor stock appearance, retailer stores, improvements to images/backgrounds, NEW car listings and reporting each month.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrable experience of working in a service related B2C environment
- Proven experience in SEO and SEM marketing, including CRM and Field Marketing
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and other software applications
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing online customer acquisition campaigns for a fast growing, entrepreneurial company.
- Measurable experience in paid and organic search, affiliate programs, email and other online programs
- Ability to create the strategic direction of increasing e-commerce activity from a variety of online media channels to expand market share
