- Jenson Fisher, have been engaged by a highly reputable public sector organisation based in Glasgow to recruit a Pay & Pensions Systems Analyst on a full-time permanent basis. This role will ensure the integrity of the database structure and data in the system and play a key role in its ongoing development and configuration. My client offers excellent holidays, attractive pension and the opportunity for hybrid working, 2 days per week.
The main duties:- Undertake the role of senior system user (Payroll) ensuring that system issues are resolved
- Work with the System Supplier and Internal IT to maintain robust change control processes and documentation
- Manage the internal and external relationships involved with the payment aspects of staff based overseas
- Assist the Head of Pay & Pensions to plan and organise workload, including significant forward planning
- Proactively and independently contribute to complex projects, often involving multiple stakeholders and University/external offices with conflicting priorities
- Perform detailed analysis of recurring processing and system issues
- Experience of working in a large payroll team
- High levels of numeracy and analytical capability
- Ability to use management reporting software to create and run reports
- Proven problem-solving abilities across a broad range of areas
- Excellent communications skills – both oral and written and the ability to clearly articulate complex issues
- Strong Excel skills
