Jenson Fisher are delighted to be working in partnership with our long established client to recruit an Accounts Assistant on an initial 6 month contract to cover a maternity absence. Reporting into the General Manager, the Accounts Assistant will be tasked with ensuring that daily financial reporting deadlines are met whilst resolving any queries relating to invoices and general bookkeeping. Our client use Sage and Microsoft Excel and whilst previous experience would be advantageous, it is by no means essential.

On a day to day basis your responsibilities will include:
  • Processing of sale invoices and purchase invoices
  • Bank Input and Bank reconciliation on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Weekly and monthly processing of payroll
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Preparation of weekly information for the director/management accountant
  • Processing of inter company invoices and balances
  • Debt recovery from customers
  • Preparation of year end information for accountant
  • Answering of telephone and dealing with customer queries expected
  • Ad-hoc administration duties as needed.
