Whisky Auctioneer – Assistant Accountant – Job Specification
Due to a period of sustained growth across the Group, Whisky Auctioneer are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant into a newly created role within their established finance department.
You will form a key part of the Finance Team, providing a financial support service to the wider Group. The Assistant Accountant will support senior finance heads with the continued maintenance of accurate accounting records and your duties will include:- Processing payments via numerous platforms and updating the invoice status accordingly.
- Maintain all seller payment records as required.
- Liaise with FX partners when making currency payments.
- Processing refunds as required.
- Bank reconciliations
- Cash reconciliations for each auction.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Calculating accruals and prepayments.
- Working with colleagues in the Warehouse department to agree stock levels as required.
- Recording and monitoring stock movements, including gains/losses on a monthly basis.
- Daily income recording and resolving any issues on an ad hoc basis.
