- Jenson Fisher are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with an established, multi-national business based in Dundee to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a permanent, full time basis.
Reporting into the Head of Finance, the Assistant Accountant will be form the link between the transactional processing team and the Head of Finance, providing key support during the month end process. Your practical experience will be broad and you will be commercial in your approach, strong communication skills are a must alongside a positive, pro-active approach to your work. In addition, you will have excellent experience of systems alongside a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
On a day to day basis your responsibilities will include:- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Assist with the production of monthly management accounts.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Cashflow management including forecasting.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
- Calculating accruals and prepayments.
- Preparation of trial balances.
- Management of financial data using financial software and Microsoft Excel.
This role would suit someone either at Assistant Accountant level or alternatively someone progressing their career through their ACCA/CIMA studies.
