Jenson Fisher have been engaged by a dynamic, commercial business to recruit a Payroll Assistant to work from their local office in Dundee. With firm roots in the Tayside area, our client has been operational for a number of years and are excited to be recruiting this new Payroll Assistant into their business.
The Role
We are looking to identify an experienced Payroll Processor to ensure that payroll objectives are achieved both accurately and on time. You will have previous experience processing high volume payroll previously in your career and will be able to get up to date with current payroll legislation in good time.
Working as a key member of the Payroll team, you will report into the Accounts Supervisor and will naturally have a strong emphasis on accuracy and quality. You will have a passion for producing high quality work and possess an ability to forge strong relationships with your colleagues and an open door for any payroll questions or queries.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing of payroll on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Entering payroll information onto financial software.
- Calculating payroll amendments including SSP, SMP, P11ds, Starers/Leavers etc.
- Reporting on sickness and absence for management.
- Processing monthly expense claims.
- Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation.
- Issuing payslips on a periodic basis.
- Resolving payroll queries on an adhoc basis.
- Use of financial software including financial software Microsoft Excel.
